Staute Park is one of the most popular sight to visit in Budapest, Hungary. Hidden far enough from the city centre not to give the locals nightmares but close enough to attract those with an interest in communist history and sculpture, this small gravel park contains 20 - 30 of the inspiring or imposing - depending on your perspective - statues that until 1989 decorated Budapest to remind people who was in charge. After the fall of Communism in Hungary, most of the statues from this era were shipped to this park on the outskirts of the city.
